Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to take full ownership of preparing financial and management accounts for the OTR business (excluding Krispy Kreme and QSR) in a 12-month fixed-term contract role. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily, weekly, and monthly operations of the OTR accounting team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. Acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the broader accounting function, the role delivers high-quality financial reporting, insightful analysis, and clear commentary that accurately reflects the business's performance and financial position.

Your contributions 

• Develop a deep understanding of the OTR business and collaborate with business owners to enhance the quality and accuracy of financial accounts. 

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the OTR accounting team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. 

• Lead, mentor, and support the ongoing development of the accounting team. 

• Analyse and review trial balances and management reporting outputs to ensure compliance with standards and policies, ensuring outputs are error-free and ready for publication. 

• Partner with business owners to prepare clear, concise financial commentary for inclusion in board reports. 

• Provide direction and support to team members to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. 

• Oversee the quality, accuracy, and compliance of data inputs into financial systems 

• Oversee the audit process for your business group and provide audit workpapers as per audit schedule 

What we are looking for 

• At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role. 

• Bachelor of Accounting or other suitably related qualification 

• Proficient in the use MS suite with excellence in Excel 

• Microsoft D365 experience is desirable, not essential. 

• Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail. 

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. 

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team. 

• Ability to work independently with a collaborative and proactive approach to work. 

• Retail experience is desirable, not essential. 

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
