Commercial Analyst

We are seeking a full-time Commercial Analyst who will be responsible for delivering support and actionable insights to internal stakeholders by analysing business activities and the environment. You will leverage your curiosity and deep subject matter expertise to help drive improved business outcomes. Your contributions

• Enhance the organization's reputation
• Develop expertise in margin, pricing, inventory, and total loss drivers
• Conduct regular reviews of inventory returns, shrink levels, and margin composition
• Gain deep business knowledge and work with owners to improve inventory management
• Perform scheduled reporting and analytics tasks
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Think out of the box to analyse and predict business performance
• Identify and solve business problems using analytics and help develop reporting solutions
• Handle simple data requests and conduct complex analyses
• Create tools and models to improve analytics efficiency and decision-making
• Contribute to projects led by Finance Manager and collaborate with IT teams to improve data architecture and models

What we are looking for

• Advanced Excel and Power BI Skills
• 2+ years of experience in similar roles.
• Background in a similar role within the retail industry is essential
• Proven background driving financial performance and support business growth through data-driven insights and analysis 
• Being able to work across multiple stakeholders within a multi-faceted organization
• Excellent communication skills are essential for the position.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently with a collaborative and proactive approach to work.
• Retail experience is desirable, not essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
